Bartender

Off-Site* | Must be 21 years or older

• Our warehouse is located in Berwyn, IL. This position requires travel to event sites across greater Chicago.

Pay Range:

Starting at $19/hour, based on experience

Job Summary:

Beyond Events is one of Chicago’s largest full-service catering companies, accommodating weddings, galas, corporate events, and more. For nearly four decades, we have catered some of the largest events in Chicagoland and even around the country.

Under the direction of the Event Captain, the bartender will be primarily responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at catering events. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for providing exceptional service at events and gatherings.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Taking orders from customers
• Interacting with customers/event guests
• Assessing all customer needs
• Providing recommendations for customers
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older
• Bartending experience
• Must be BASSET certified (or willing to get certified)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• Patience and customer-oriented approach
• Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• High school diploma is a plus but not required
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift and carry trays and equipment (up to 25lbs)
• Fluency in Spanish is highly beneficial, as it will enable effective communication with Spanish-speaking clients and colleagues
