Part-Time Bartender – Provisions

Provisions is looking for a part-time bartender to join our team in a high-end restaurant environment. This position includes three guaranteed shifts every week: Sunday night, Monday night, and Tuesday night, with additional opportunities to pick up shifts throughout the rest of the week, including brunch shifts.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, and passionate about hospitality. Bartending or serving experience is preferred, but not required for the right person. We are open to candidates who have a genuine interest in cocktails, wine, and beer, and who are excited to learn more about food and drink culture in the high-end restaurant space.

In this role, you will be expected to provide excellent guest service, prepare and serve drinks with care and consistency, maintain a clean and organized bar area, and work closely with the rest of the front-of-house team to create a polished guest experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants steady part-time hours while continuing to grow their knowledge and skills in an upscale restaurant setting.

Guaranteed shifts: Sunday night, Monday night, Tuesday night

Additional shift opportunities: Other evening shifts and weekend brunch shifts

Hours of operation:

Monday–Friday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Saturday–Sunday: 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team! Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and upselling where appropriate to enhance sales.
  • Maintain knowledge of drink menus, including specialty cocktails, brewing options, and wine selections to assist guests effectively.
  • Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and billing.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures during serving and preparation.
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked by monitoring inventory levels regularly; assist with catering events or banquet service as needed.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using retail math skills; perform cashiering duties including processing payments swiftly and efficiently.
  • Uphold excellent customer service standards by addressing guest inquiries promptly and resolving any issues professionally.
  • Follow all health regulations related to food safety, alcohol service laws, and responsible serving practices in nightclubs or other venues.

Skills

  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order entry and transaction management.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously during busy hours.
  • Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is highly desirable for delivering elevated service experiences.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math calculations, and billing processes.
  • Previous restaurant experience or banquet/catering background preferred; familiarity with food industry standards is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events such as banquets or private parties.
  • Skills in serving beverages responsibly while maintaining a lively yet professional environment in hospitality settings like nightclubs or breweries.
