SUMMARY:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving properly mixed beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and providing exceptional service to all guests. This position supports all aspects of bar operations, including product knowledge, sanitation, and adherence to company standards. The Bartender works collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager and fellow team members to ensure maximum efficiency, a safe working environment, and an elevated guest experience. The Bartender shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times while exemplifying THE LOT’s hospitality culture.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greet guests and discover their needs, providing appropriate product recommendations, entertainment suggestions, and information about THE LOT’s offerings.
- Create opportunities for guest engagement by presenting and explaining the drink menu, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Verify customer identification to ensure all guests consuming alcoholic beverages meet legal drinking age requirements.
- Mix and serve drinks in accordance with standardized recipes and company guidelines.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the bar and surrounding areas.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beer selections, wines, and non alcoholic options available.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for food and beverage handling and work areas.
- Perform cleaning and restocking tasks in accordance with shift checklists and company cleaning standards.
- Adhere to all cash-handling procedures and follow company cash register policies.
- Support team members by assisting in setup, service, and breakdown duties as needed.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and ensure each guest receives friendly and efficient service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall restaurant and bar operations.
Associate is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospitality or bartending role required.
- High level of alcohol and wine knowledge preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS software required.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid California Food Handler’s Card.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
$16.90/hr + TIPS
