Bartender

Job Overview

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, attentive manner to enhance their experience and promote sales.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage time effectively during busy shifts to serve multiple tables or bar patrons efficiently.
• Assist with food service when needed, including serving snacks or small plates in a nightclub or banquet setting.
• Handle cash transactions accurately while managing retail math calculations for tips, tabs, and payments.
• Support catering events or special functions by preparing beverages and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Follow all food handling procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Clean up the designated areas after every shift.

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for quick order entry and cash handling.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests in high-energy environments like nightclubs or fine dining venues.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality service.
• Previous experience in food industry roles such as restaurant, retail math, or food handling is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques including brewing coffee or craft cocktails in a hospitality setting.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, billing, and sales transactions.
• Experience working in banquet settings or catering events adds value but is not mandatory.
