Bartender

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Experience in fine dining or nightlife settings is preferred.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and utensils
• Interact with customers to take drink orders and provide recommendations
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems
• Monitor customer consumption of alcohol and adhere to responsible serving guidelines
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of bar areas for events, including banquets and catering services
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable
• Maintain knowledge of current drink trends, brewing techniques, and cocktail recipes

Skills

• Proficient in using POS systems for order processing
• Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours
• Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively
• Previous experience in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of the food industry, including food service operations and retail math principles
