Bartender

Job Summary
At Wild Eagle, our bartenders are the heart of the guest experience. As a bartender, you'll serve as both a drink artisan and a guest liaison, creating a lively and memorable experience that aligns with the Wild Eagle brand. Duties

• Provide exceptional hospitality with a positive, approachable attitude.
• Build rapport with guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and well-cared for.
• Offer recommendations from the menu, including specialty cocktails and local craft beers.
• Prepare cocktails, mixed drinks, and specialty beverages following standardized recipes.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the drink menu, including beer, spirits, and wines, especially local and Ohio-based selections.
• Ensure proper portioning, garnishing, and glassware for all drinks.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked bar and ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol laws.
• Handle POS transactions accurately, including cash and credit card payments.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow all responsible service protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house (FOH) team to ensure smooth service.
• Communicate effectively with other staff members, including managers, servers, and barbacks.
• Act as an ambassador for the Wild Eagle brand, enhancing the venue's character and reputation.
• Participate in marketing initiatives such as themed events, game-day promotions, and seasonal drink rollouts.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
• Manage difficult situations, such as over-intoxicated guests, in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bartending or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and alcohol regulations is essential.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently serve multiple customers during busy periods.
• Familiarity with POS systems for processing orders is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Previous bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or bar.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails. Familiarity with Ohio-based craft beer is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
