Job Summary
Blue Water Bistro & Pizzeria is seeking an experienced, dependable Bartender to join our team. This role is key to both bar service and supporting the dining room with timely, accurate drink preparation. We are a busy, 60+ seat, 4.7-star restaurant, so speed, organization, and a great attitude are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages consistently and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service to bar guests in a friendly, professional manner
• Manage drink orders for both bar patrons and servers using a POS system
• Ensure fast turnaround on drink tickets during high-volume periods
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar
• Handle cash and payments accurately
• Assist with bar setup and restocking for daily service and events
• Monitor guests and follow responsible alcohol service practices
• Communicate low inventory and supply needs to management
• Arrive early and prepared for busy shifts

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience preferred (restaurant or high-volume setting)
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Familiarity with POS systems (or willingness to learn)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills for cash handling
• Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service guidelines
• Reliable and team-oriented

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Summer: 6 days/week (Mon-Sat 4-9 PM)
• Off-season: 5 days/week (Tues-Sat 4-9 PM)
• Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays
