Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, payments, and cash handling with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety at all times.
- Handle cash transactions, perform basic math calculations for bills, tips, and change, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Support nightclub or event operations by serving drinks efficiently during high-volume periods.
- Uphold food safety standards related to food handling and beverage preparation to maintain health regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies, checking expiration dates, and reporting shortages.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, billing, and retail math calculations.
- Experience working in the food industry or hospitality sector is advantageous; retail math skills are a plus.
- Must be 18 years or older with proper serving certifications as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events such as banquets or nightclubs.
