Job Title: Bartender

Job Summary:
Woodway Beach Club, an exclusive private Club in Stamford, CT, is looking for a professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills. Candidates must be able to create classic and innovative drinks, understand the basics of wine and wine service, utilize Northstar POS, maintain par stocks and uphold consistency and quality standards in all environments be it to our members or private functions and events. Cross training and performing server duties is also required during certain seasonal periods.
Position involves working afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required. Must be able to lift 25+lbs and stand for long hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to work on time and is in the correct uniform and at the station as indicated on the weekly work schedule.
- Performs proper opening and/or closing duties as outlined by procedure checklist and manager.
- Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts.
- Requisitions and stocks all liquor, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Good organizational skills.
- Maintains cleanliness of bar and ensures proper utensils and supplies are available.
- Performs monthly inventory of bars.
- Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages adhering to all Club recipes and procedures
- Greets all bar guests immediately, makes suggestions and answers questions regarding food, beverages, and service.
- Complies with all state and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified.
- Practices teamwork by assisting fellow employees whenever possible, to enhance dining and the workplace experience.
- Effectively communicates to the Manager-On-Duty all situations where a member may express compliments, concerns, or dissatisfaction with any aspect of the dining experience.
- Correctly presents the member check and processes payment for all food and beverages sold.
- Set up, service, and break down of bars for special events and occasions.
- Ability to work large or small events with minimal supervision.
- Check member’s identification and confirm that they meet the legal drinking age.
- Be prepared to set up and attend pop up bars for events on our golf course and throughout the facility.
- Knowledgeable of all aspects of department and daily club operations, including events and operating hours.
