Bartender

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve house made wines and mixed drinks, canned and bottled beers and cocktails and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items accordingly.
• Manage cash handling transactions accurately using a POS system ensuring proper cash register procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times.
• Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment while providing excellent customer service.
• Restock bar supplies efficiently during shifts and assist with inventory management to prevent shortages.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours and special events.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a bartender or in food service within a hospitality environment; fine dining or nightclub experience is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are essential.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, food handling procedures, and proper alcohol serving practices.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event days.

Pay: $8.30 - $40.00 per hour
