Bartender

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a lively environment, with experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons. Knowledge of POS systems such as Toast POS is preferred, along with strong time management and sales skills. The bartender will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining food safety standards and efficient service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Toast POS
  • Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally
  • Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for accurate billing and change distribution
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations
  • Handle food handling responsibilities when necessary, including serving food at bars or during catering events
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down bar areas for events such as banquets or private functions
  • Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking and adherence to alcohol policies
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy nights or events such as nightclubs or catering functions

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, retail math, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
  • Fine dining experience, nightclub work, banquet experience, or catering background is a plus
  • Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced settings
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Experience working in the food industry with an emphasis on beverage service and serving alcohol responsibly
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and retail math calculations
  • Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining high service standards

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
