Bartender

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits.
• Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry, billing, and cash handling efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, following food safety and food handling regulations at all times.
• Monitor alcohol consumption responsibly, ensuring compliance with legal drinking age laws and responsible serving policies.
• Assist with setup for special events such as banquets or catering functions, ensuring all beverage needs are met seamlessly.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for change, and reconcile sales at shift end.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, especially in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cashiering is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests quickly and authentically.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining quality standards.
• Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety.
• Knowledge of beverage preparation techniques including brewing coffee or tea, mixing cocktails, and serving wine or beer.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing during high-volume periods.
