Job Title:

Seasonal Full Time Bartender:

• $16.75/hour + Tips (4 shifts a week with approximately 34 hours)
• Full time shifts available through Indigenous People’s Weekend. Part time available throughout the winter.

Seasonal Part Time Bartender

• $16.75/hour + Tips (2 shifts a week with approximately 16 hours)
• Shifts available through Indigenous People’s Weekend

Job Overview: Hardshore is a scratch made distillery and craft cocktail bar on the East End of Portland, Maine. We are looking for two bartenders with weekend and nighttime availability to fill a full time and a part time position. One year of experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with state liquor laws.
• Handle accurate sales, including cash transactions.
• Be able to engage with customers and cater to their preferences
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the day, including cleaning and polishing glassware, sanitizing surfaces, restocking items as needed.
• Keep up with daily cleaning and prep projects.

Qualifications

• One year of craft cocktail experience preferred. Be able to build drinks accurately using bar tools such as boston shakers, jiggers, and strainers.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Being kind and attentive to guests is a must. Someone who is interested in telling our story and answering questions about the distillation process, botanicals, and mash builds is necessary.
• TIPS Certification. ServSafe, and equivalents are highly recommended.
• Must be able to safely carry 50 pounds.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
