Bartender

POSITION SUMMARY:

Creates an exceptional guest experience through dynamic and attentive bar service. Possesses the knowledge and ability to perform all bar positions including barback, service bartender and wood bartender. Maintains effective communication with all staff, including management, to ensure a consistently great guest experience.

Possesses thorough knowledge of all products we have to offer in addition to 100% cocktail spec knowledge. This includes the wine menu, charcuterie, and the general food menu.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides exceptional hospitality to all guests through precise timing, flawless execution, and attentive service.
• Has the ability to maintain the speed and accuracy of a lead service bartender while also demonstrating hospitality and multitasking capabilities of a wood bartender.
• Uses a jigger for all recipes.
• Effectively communicates with serving staff all pivotal information such as low or 86’d products, slow drink times, etc. in order to maintain service standards and guest expectations.
• Executes wine service when applicable.
• Provides a detailed concept dialogue to all first-time guests.
• Thorough knowledge of all Wally’s signature cocktails including complete specs and garnishes.
• Effectively communicate with guests and make drinks at the same time.
• Handles guest complaints and elevates to management when necessary.
• Has base level knowledge of common cocktails not on our menu.
• Ability to count inventory including reading a par sheet and filling it out accurately to assist management in ordering product for the next day.
• Communicates with managment on low products including spirits, wine, bar tools, glassware, etc.
• Assists barbacks in maintaining bar cleanliness.
• Uses proper health code practices including labeling and dating all opened or fresh products.
• Processes payments including cash and card.
• Opens and closes the bar with little guidance.
• Cash handling.
• You may be called upon from time to time to perform other duties that may not be included in your job description at the management’s discretion.
