Bartender

The Bartender at Nueva Cantina creates a lively and welcoming environment where Guests can enjoy their Mexican cuisine and beverages. Bartenders act with professionalism, skill, and a warm demeanor to ensure Guests feel relaxed and well-served from the moment they sit down until their experience is complete. They engage with guests through friendly conversation, guiding them through our cocktail and drink menu while expertly crafting drinks that complement their meal.

Bartenders are essential to our team, ensuring seamless service by taking drink orders, mixing beverages, and coordinating with the kitchen and servers.

As a Bartender at Nueva Cantina, you will:

• Create a vibrant and inviting bar atmosphere through engaging conversations and hospitality
• Recommend drink pairings and specials to enhance the guest’s dining experience
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service protocols to ensure a safe and compliant environment
• Consistently maintain a friendly, relaxed, and courteous demeanor to ensure guest satisfaction
• Efficiently take drink orders and prepare beverages according to our standards, offering recommendations when needed
• Keep track of guest orders and communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff for timely delivery
• Process payments accurately and provide correct change
• Assist fellow bartenders, servers, and support staff to maintain smooth and efficient service

Role Requirements:

• You are a professional, motivated, and energetic individual
• You enjoy working with people and can create a welcoming atmosphere for Guests
• You are capable of multitasking and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• You are familiar with mixing drinks, managing a bar, handling clean-up, and performing routine side-work
• You can assist with special event setup/service when necessary
• You are available to work nights and weekends
• You are able to work serving shifts periodically, as needed
• You can stand for long periods and lift and carry heavy trays or bar equipment

Physical Requirements:

This is a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.
