Bartender

Job Summary:
The Bartender will prepare and/or serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to our private dining members and waitstaff. In addition they will serve food in the bar area to our dining members. Collect payment or apply to appropriate member account for drinks served. Bartender may also work tournaments and special events.

Pay: $20.00 per hour plus tips

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receives drink orders from dining members and waitstaff.
• Receives food orders and serves dining members in bar area.
• Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, nonalcoholic drinks and in a timely manner.
• Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
• Maintains a clean, sanitized, and well-organized stocked bar.
• Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles.
• Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
• Collects payments and operates POS system for drinks and / or food served following company established cash handling policies and procedures for all transactions; secures all monies at the end of each shift. We are currently a cashless facility.
• Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.
• Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of Beer, Wine and Spirits as well as their preparation and presentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to interact with private dining members and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
• Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.
• Ability to learn POS software used by bar or restaurant.
• Craft cocktail knowledge desired.
• Hard working attitude and an impressive team player.

Education and Experience:

• Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.
• Must be over 21 and have a current Alcohol Awareness card and Health card.
• Must have valid Nevada driver license and be able to operate golf or utility carts when needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
• Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
