Bartender

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at Scratch Kitchen & Taproom in Cary. As a Bartender, you will play a key role in creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for our patrons. Your exceptional bartending skills, friendly demeanor, and commitment to customer service will contribute to the success of our establishment.

Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Collect payment from customers and process transactions using a cash register
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for catering events
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints

Experience:
- Previous experience working in the hospitality or food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle money accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, brewing techniques, and cocktail recipes is a plus
