Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for serving drinks to customers directly and preparing drinks for table service in accordance with standard procedures.

Essential Functions Statement:
- Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service.
- Collect money for drinks served.
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Balance cash receipts.
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
- Stock bar with beer, wine, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and related supplies such as glassware, napkins, water cups, ect.
- Serve wine, canned, bottled, and draft beer.
- Take beverage orders directly from patrons.
- Clean bars, work areas, and tables.
- Changing and moving kegs.
- Serve snacks, food items, or non-alcoholic beverages to customers.
- Ask customers who become loud and obnoxious to leave.
- Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
- Communicate with customers to resolve complaints or ensure satisfaction.
- Includes responsibility for the health and safety of others.
- Requires making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the organization.
- Helps to maintain an environment that is fun and enjoyable to the customer.
- Serve at off-premise events such as beer festivals, farmer’s markets, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a Restaurant bar setting. This role routinely uses standard bar equipment.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a Part-time position with mostly afternoon and evening working hours. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with business needs.
Required Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma/ GED
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in helping develop a handcrafted cocktail menu
License/certifications:
- ABLE License required.
- Current Alcohol Safety Certification required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little to no assistance.
