Position Title: Bartender
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly; Tip Eligible)
Reports To: Front of House Manager / General Manager
Position Summary
Bartenders are responsible for managing the bar area, preparing beverages, and maintaining control over alcohol service while delivering a high level of guest interaction. This role requires strong awareness, accuracy, and the ability to manage volume during peak periods.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standards
- Maintain full control and organization of the bar area
- Verify age and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times
- Manage bar tabs, cash handling, and Toast POS transactions
- Oversee and reconcile house account charges accurately
- Monitor guest behavior and proactively address potential issues
- Maintain inventory levels, restock, and communicate shortages
- Keep bar clean, stocked, and operational throughout shifts
Alcohol Licensing Requirement
This position requires:
- A valid Alcohol Beverage Employee License issued by the Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission
- Completion of state-approved alcohol server training
Employees must maintain this license in good standing at all times.
Failure to do so may result in removal from scheduled shifts or termination.
Qualifications
- Prior bartending experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of drink preparation and bar operations
- Ability to handle high-volume service with accuracy
Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Lifting up to 30 pounds
Pay: $5.00 per hour
