We are seeking a professional, energetic, and customer-focused Bartender to join our team for banquet events and select restaurant shifts. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment.
The Bartender will engage with guests, recommend beverages and menu items, prepare classic cocktails and specialty drinks, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Learn guest preferences, answer questions, and make beverage and menu recommendations.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and company standards.
- Mix ingredients, garnish drinks, and ensure consistent presentation and quality.
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and service areas.
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Assist with banquet bar setup, breakdown, and event service as needed.
- Wash glassware, utensils, and bar equipment while maintaining cleanliness throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with restaurant and banquet staff to ensure excellent guest experiences.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience preferred; banquet or event experience is a plus.
- Must meet state minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Professional appearance with a positive, outgoing personality.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math and computer/POS system knowledge.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of drink preparation techniques, bar tools, and cocktail recipes.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
- Additional certifications or alcohol service training may be required depending on state regulations.
