BARTENDER & EVENT BARTENDER
Location: SPF Chicago, Lincoln Park
Reports To: Culinary Director
Job Type: Part-Time, On-Site
Hourly Rate: $12.62/Hour Bartender Rate, $16.60/Hour Event Bartender Rate. Both have a guaranteed minimum of $22/Hour

Who You Are
An experienced, hospitality-first Bartender who can seamlessly run the bar during shifts while delivering exceptional guest experiences. You are comfortable taking ownership of the bar floor, supporting and directing bar staff, working bar shifts at the highest standard— even when it's busy. You bring a positive, professional energy that elevates the team around you.
What You Will Do
- Open and/or close the bar according to established procedures, closing open checks, and equipment setup.
- Mix cocktails, serve beers, wine & seltzer with high standards of service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for bar staff during shifts; escalate issues to the Culinary Director or GM as needed.
- Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout each shift, including the main bar, Turf Field, Keg Storage & Bar Dry Store areas.
Guest Service
- Deliver friendly, attentive, and efficient service to all guests.
- Proactively engage guests to enhance their SPF experience and drive beverage sales.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and any service issues with professionalism and a hospitality-first mindset.
Operations & Compliance
- Monitor inventory levels during shifts, flag low stock to the Culinary Director, and minimize waste.
- Must be BASSET, ServSafe, and Illinois food allergen compliance standards throughout each shift.
- Assist with execution of private events and special programming as directed by the Beverage
- Regularly sweep the facility for empty glassware and ensure bar areas meet health and safety standards at all times.

Certifications (Required)
- BASSET Certification On & Off-Premise
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Illinois Food Allergens Training
Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of bartending experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Other
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative during shifts.
