Bartender

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team at Ember Music Hall in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. We’re looking for skilled and dynamic bartenders who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and love great music as much as we do!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and efficiently according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Manage multiple orders accurately in a high-volume setting.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware and equipment.
• Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.

Experience

• Previous bartending experience is required.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards is essential.
• Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
• Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• A background in high-volume establishments is beneficial.
• Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and helping others create memorable experiences.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Our typical week is operating Thursday-Saturday, with rotating show schedule that could include any weekday. Open night availability is preferred. Required availability at least 2 of the 3: Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
