Bartender

Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering strictly to food safety and food handling standards.
• Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations to ensure accurate billing and transactions.
• Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible serving practices in compliance with alcohol service regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to coordinate food and beverage service seamlessly.
• Keep track of inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist in ordering beverage stock to prevent shortages.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations during busy hours while maintaining high-quality service.
• Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently in food handling and serving processes.
• Contribute to a lively atmosphere by engaging with guests at nightclubs or special events, creating an energetic environment that encourages repeat visits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume shifts.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and sales transactions.
• Previous retail math experience helpful for inventory management and sales tracking.
• Experience working in the food industry or hospitality sector demonstrates adaptability and professionalism.
• Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage crafting adds value but is not mandatory.
