Our ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, works efficiently under pressure, and brings strong knowledge of Japanese spirits and beverage culture, including Japanese whisky, sake, highballs, and specialty cocktails. Whether engaging guests at the bar or supporting service during peak hours, you will play an essential role in creating the dynamic atmosphere that defines NIKU X.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems such Chow Bus.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Japanese whisky, sake, shochu, and classic as well as modern cocktail preparation.
• Engage with guests to understand preferences, recommend pairings, and promote specialty beverages and seasonal offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout the bar area while adhering strictly to food safety and alcohol service regulations.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities including processing payments, balancing registers, and maintaining accurate tabs.
• Monitor guest intoxication levels and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.
• Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverage inventory to maintain smooth operations during service.
• Work collaboratively with servers, captains, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless food and beverage execution.
• Perform efficiently during high-volume service periods while maintaining composure, speed, and attention to detail.
• Uphold the elevated hospitality and service standards expected within a fine dining environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of bartending experience required, preferably in fine dining, upscale hospitality, nightlife, or high-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese whisky, sake, and Japanese-inspired cocktails is required.
• Experience using POS systems preferred.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in fast-paced settings.
• Strong communication and guest engagement skills with a hospitality-focused mindset.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, beverage preparation techniques, and alcohol service regulations.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and perform retail math accurately.
• Must work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and consistency in service.
• Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Compensation

• Minimum wage plus tips.
