Bartender

Job Summary

Sushi Lounge Totowa is looking for a dynamic bartender to join our team. Leader in restaurant, nightlife and hospitality for 18 years. Combination of day and night shifts available with indoor and outdoor shifts available.

Experience a must in a full service restaurant !!!

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using various POS systems such as Toast and Resy
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and food handling standards.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering and processing payments securely.
• Restock bar supplies, monitor inventory levels, and assist with catering or banquet events as needed.
• Uphold responsible serving practices by checking IDs, monitoring guest consumption, and adhering to alcohol service regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy nights or special events such as nightclubs or large banquets.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially within fine dining or nightlife settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that enhances guest experiences.
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while maintaining accuracy in cash handling and food safety procedures.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling protocols, and responsible alcohol serving practices.
• Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and accurate order calculations.
• Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus for versatile service capabilities.
• Knowledge of brewing processes or the food industry is beneficial for engaging with diverse guest preferences.
