Position Overview

The Bartender at Siena is responsible for crafting high-quality cocktails, providing knowledgeable suggestions on wines and spirits, and creating an engaging bar experience for our guests. This role requires strong mixology skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation & Service

* Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, spirits, and beers according to Siena’s standards.

* Ensure consistent execution of signature cocktails and seasonal menus.

* Provide recommendations based on guests’ preferences.

* Maintain knowledge of all beverage offerings and rotating selections.

Guest Experience

* Greet guests warmly and build rapport with regulars.

* Provide attentive, personable service without being overly formal.

* Manage bar seating, take orders, and ensure timely service.

* Handle guest concerns professionally and with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Bar Operations

* Set up and break down the bar daily.

* Maintain cleanliness, proper organization, and sanitation of the bar area.

* Follow correct opening, closing, and cash-handling procedures.

* Restock spirits, wine, beer, garnishes, glassware, and bar tools.

* Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock or supply needs to management.

Team Collaboration

* Work closely with servers and support staff to ensure smooth service.

* Assist with training new team members when needed.

* Support restaurant operations during peak hours.

Qualifications

* 4+ years bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or cocktail bar.

* Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.

* Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in fast-paced environments.

* Excellent communication and guest-service skills.

* Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize during high volume.

* Must be 21+ with a valid alcohol service permit (or willingness to obtain one).
