Position Summary
Broken Sound Club is seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented Bartender who is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for our members and guests. The Bartender is responsible for delivering elevated beverage service while fostering a warm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere that reflects the Club's commitment to excellence.
This position requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and consistently upholds the highest standards of hospitality. Successful candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to anticipate member needs while working collaboratively with fellow team members.
Essential Responsibilities
Member & Guest Service
Provide exceptional, personalized service to members and guests in accordance with Broken Sound Club standards.
Create a welcoming and engaging environment that enhances the overall member experience.
Build positive relationships with members through professional and attentive interactions.
Anticipate member needs and proactively address requests with a sense of urgency.
Maintain complete knowledge of all food, beverage, wine, and cocktail offerings to confidently answer questions and provide recommendations.
Beverage Preparation & Service
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Club recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
Demonstrate proper wine service, including presenting, opening, and serving bottles in a professional manner.
Ensure all beverages are prepared accurately, efficiently, and consistently.
Verify age requirements and comply with all federal, state, local, and Club alcohol service regulations.
Bar Operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
Complete opening, closing, and side work duties according to established procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.
Ensure glassware, equipment, garnishes, and bar supplies meet Club standards.
Follow all sanitation, food safety, and health regulations.
Events & Club Functions
Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of Club events and special functions.
Transport and arrange bar equipment, glassware, beverages, and related supplies as needed.
Adapt to varying service environments while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Teamwork & Professionalism
Work collaboratively with servers, culinary staff, managers, and fellow associates to ensure seamless operations.
Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and a positive attitude at all times.
Communicate effectively with leadership regarding member feedback, service concerns, and operational opportunities.
Contribute to a culture of respect, teamwork, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
Take ownership of challenges and proactively seek solutions before escalating concerns.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–3 years of bartending experience in a private club, luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or high-volume hospitality environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer.
Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout service areas.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as business needs require.
