Seasonal Bartender – Hogan's Cider Mill Taproom

Location: Hogan's Cider Mill, Burlington, CT
Seasonal Position: Training begins in August | Seasonal employment through December

Hogan's Cider Mill is looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic bartenders to join our seasonal taproom team. As a family-owned business established in 1912, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere where guests can enjoy hard cider, beer, mocktails, mini golf, and a variety of other unique experiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve hard cider, beer, mocktails, and specialty beverages in accordance with Connecticut alcohol service laws. Must be TIPS trained.
• Provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming experience for all guests
• Educate customers about our cider offerings, seasonal drinks, and current promotions
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions in a fast paced enviroment
• Verify identification and responsibly serve alcoholic beverages
• Keep the bar, taproom, and service areas clean, organized, and stocked throughout shifts
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
• Support special events and seasonal activities as needed

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (21+ preferred)
• Previous bartending, serving, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Availability to work weekends and holiday weekends during the season

Schedule

• Training begins in August
• Seasonal employment runs through approximately December
• Part-time hours, including weekends, holidays, and occasional special events
