Mexquite Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Lounge – Folsom, CA

Mexquite Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Lounge is an award-winning, family-owned restaurant that has proudly served the Folsom community since 2007. We are currently looking for an experienced and dependable bartender to join our team.

We're seeking someone who takes pride in providing exceptional hospitality, crafting quality beverages, and working as part of a strong team. This position is ideal for a bartender who values consistency, accountability, and creating memorable guest experiences.

Weekend availability is strongly preferred. Applicants with open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability will receive priority consideration.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and consistently
• Deliver friendly, attentive service to guests seated at the bar and throughout the restaurant
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Follow established recipes and service standards to ensure consistency
• Work closely with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to provide seamless guest experiences
• Promote featured cocktails, specialty beverages, and seasonal offerings
• Assist with opening, closing, stocking, cleaning, and daily side work
• Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and responsible serving practices
• Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment

What We're Looking For

• Previous bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or high-volume bar
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Ability to remain organized and efficient during busy shifts
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support coworkers
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
• California Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification, or ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Toast POS
• Experience working in a restaurant environment with both dining room and bar service
• Knowledge of tequila, agave spirits, and craft cocktails is a plus
• Interest in training, leadership, or future growth opportunities within the company
