Bartender

Job Summary
Join our team as a Bartender, where your energetic personality and passion for exceptional customer service will shine! In this role, you will craft and serve a variety of beverages, create memorable experiences for guests, and contribute to a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Your expertise in food and drink presentation, combined with your ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, will ensure every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. This position will work at both locations, must be willing to travel to Ballantine and Laurel

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience and promote sales.
• Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Handle cash transactions, perform cashiering duties, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
• Monitor alcohol consumption responsibly, ensuring compliance with legal drinking age laws and responsible serving policies.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff during events like banquets or catering functions to coordinate food and beverage service seamlessly.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, especially within fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing.
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts while maintaining high-quality service.
• Demonstrated ability in sales techniques to upsell beverages and increase revenue opportunities.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper alcohol serving protocols.
• Experience in catering, banquet service, or retail math for accurate billing and inventory management.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs accurately.
