Located directly on the Connecticut River just minutes from downtown Hartford, River is an upscale, high-volume restaurant known for exceptional food, handcrafted cocktails, and genuine hospitality. We are looking for bartenders who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building relationships with guests, and take pride in delivering memorable experiences.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty beverages with consistency and attention to detail
• Deliver exceptional guest service while creating a welcoming and energetic atmosphere
• Build relationships with guests and provide personalized hospitality
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism behind the bar
• Work collaboratively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
• Handle high-volume shifts with efficiency, urgency, and composure
• Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and daily operational responsibilities

Our bartenders typically earn $30+ per hour during slower seasons, with many shifts averaging $40–$60+ per hour during peak periods, weekends, and special events.

• Restaurant experience: 3 years preferred
