Position Summary
We are looking for dependable, respectful team members who take pride in hospitality, teamwork, cleanliness, responsible service, and consistent execution.
The Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while creating a friendly, welcoming, and professional bar experience.
This position is responsible for beverage quality and consistency, responsible alcohol service, accurate cash handling, bar cleanliness, product stocking, and attentive guest service. The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities, remain professional during busy shifts, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and consistently.
- Greet guests promptly, take orders, make recommendations, and provide attentive service.
- Verify guest identification and comply with all responsible beverage service requirements.
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption and refuse or discontinue service when appropriate or legally required.
- Enter orders accurately and process cash, credit card, and electronic payments.
- Maintain accountability for the assigned cash drawer and immediately report discrepancies.
- Follow approved recipes, portion controls, pouring standards, and product-handling procedures.
- Prepare service-bar drink orders promptly while continuing to serve bar guests effectively.
- Stock and rotate beer, wine, liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other bar supplies.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and guest-ready bar throughout each shift.
- Wash and properly store glassware, utensils, tools, and bar equipment.
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, stocking, inventory checks, and securing alcoholic products.
- Communicate product shortages, guest incidents, equipment problems, safety concerns, and maintenance needs to management.
- Follow all company policies and applicable local, state, and federal alcohol-service and food-safety requirements.
- Assist servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and other team members as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have a current Food Safety Certification and Responsible Beverage Service Certification, or agree to obtain both within 90 days of hire.
- Previous cash-handling experience.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed.

- Ability to pass a background check if required by company policy or applicable law.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous bartending, serving, restaurant, or hospitality experience.
- Working knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, drink recipes, and standard bar equipment.
- Night and weekend availability.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Experience using a restaurant point-of-sale system.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
- Ability to work continuously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, including beverage cases and bar supplies.
- Ability to move or assist with moving kegs and other heavier items safely.
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, twist, grasp, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work safely around wet surfaces, glassware, hot equipment, refrigeration, and cleaning products.
Work Environment and Schedule
This position works in a fast-paced bar and restaurant environment that may include high noise levels during peak service periods.
Team members may be regularly exposed to alcohol, wet floors, broken-glass risks, refrigeration, cleaning chemicals, and changing temperatures.
Schedules are based on business needs and may include:
- Day shifts
- Evening and night shifts
- Weekends
- Holidays
Night and weekend availability is strongly preferred.
