Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or food pairings that enhance their experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; handle cashing out and balancing registers at shift end.
• Develop and suggest new beverage recipes, incorporating current trends like mixology techniques and craft beer knowledge to keep the menu fresh.
• Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders when necessary, and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours, including banquet or catering events if applicable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or high-volume hospitality settings; previous restaurant or food service experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; capable of processing transactions efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create welcoming environments for diverse guests.
• Demonstrated expertise in mixology, cocktail creation, wine knowledge, beverage recipe development, and spirits handling.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures within the food industry.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
• Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and accurate order processing; catering or banquet experience is a plus.
