Bartender and Server

Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Bartenders and Servers to join our team for an exciting Western-California Bar and Brewery located in Old Town San Juan Capistrano. CAPO Leisure House is located in the River Street Marketplace with a wide array of restaurants and retail stores surrounding a central communal courtyard. The Stunning bar and brewery space, CAPO Leisure House has an approachable feel, with lounge and dining space both indoor and on the patio overlooking the courtyard and boutiques, which allow guests to meander the property while enjoying beer, wine, or cocktails from our bar. You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, and food to our guests. If you have a passion for award winning craft beer, California wines, thoughtfully balanced quality cocktails and creating memorable experiences, we want to hear from you.

Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
- Manage the bar area by keeping it clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist in setting up for special events such as banquets or parties, as well as managing the bar during high-volume nights at nightclubs or fine dining establishments.
- Monitor guests' consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when necessary.

-Check customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age

Skills

-Proficiency in basic math for measuring ingredients and handling transactions.
- Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and cocktail recipes is an advantage.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service.
- Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments while ensuring attention to detail.
- A valid food handling certification is a plus
