Overview:
- Preparing all alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for guests

Assessing bar customer needs and preferences and be able to make personalized recommendations

Stock and maintain bar area to resort and health department standards

Participate in ongoing training for professional development
Responsibilities:
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests sitting at the bar
-
Set up bar and bar area according to resort standards
-
Cut fruit and prepare garnishes as set by resort standards for service
-
Consistently keep the bar area organized and clean
-
Know all specialty cocktail ingredients and garnishes
-
Participate in updated training for the bar and menu items
-
Be able to follow pouring procedures appropriately; all drink recipes must utilize a jigger for accurate measurement; no deviation from the recipes are allowed.

Notify Supervisors immediately of any product shortages or out-of-stock items
-
Have a working knowledge of draft beer systems and how to properly change a keg
-
Answer questions on menu selections and drinks to servers and guests
-
Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availability
-
Record all transactions in MICROS system at time of order accurately
-
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
-
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
-
Complete closing duties, including restocking items to set par levels, turning off lights, etc.

Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments
-
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
-
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to resort standards

Anticipate and address guests` service needs

Speak with others using a clear and professional language

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals

Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Able to assist Supervisors with inventory

Notify manager or supervisor in a timely manner with suspicious ID cards and/or intoxicated guests

Proper cash handling of banks

Timely transfer of checks for guests being moved to a different section

Adhere to departmental policies and procedures

Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees

Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property

Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy

Be courteous to all guests and coworkers

Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes at their respective outlet

- Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time

Must have knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, spirits and beers

Ability to work under variable temperature conditions
Experience, Education, & Licensure:

High School Diploma or GED
-
Some College experience or Degree Preferred
-
Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire
-
Must have a current Food Handlers card
-
Previous bartending experience in a professional setting is required

Base Pay Start Rate $16.90/ Hr. + Tips
