POSITION SUMMARY

Crafts and serves beverages, maintains a clean and organized bar, and ensures adherence to all liquor laws. Responsible for ensuring every guest receives service that reflects Zetton, Inc. values – Passion, One Team, Hospitality, and Sustainability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome and interact with guests in a positive and friendly manner.
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests.
  • Verify identification and age requirements for purchase of alcohol to ensure compliance with liquor laws.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple drink orders.
  • Remain attentive and anticipate the needs of guests.
  • Plan and present bar menus, develop new drink recipes, and plan for maintenance of successful drink recipes.
  • Fulfill orders for food and snacks ordered at the bar.
  • Issue bills, accept payments, and balance cash receipts.
  • Maintain the quality control and timeliness of all served snacks and beverages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation protocols of the bar areas, which includes the daily assigned bar tasks to be maintained throughout the hours of operation and prior to the end of shift, or closing.
  • Collaborate with GM on acquisition of all bar goods and stock inventories, including alcohol, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Practice safety standards within the bar and operations of all equipment, tools, service ware, and utensils in order to prevent injuries or unwanted incidents.
  • Monitor guest behavior to limit problems and liability related to excessive drinking and ensure responsible alcohol service. Escalate any issues to the GM.
  • Address guest concerns with urgency and professional judgment, escalating complex situations to the General Manager or Manager on Duty.
  • Perform other shift duties as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • This position requires a High School Diploma (or GED or high school equivalence certificate).
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Must meet the legal age requirements to serve alcohol.
  • Must have knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent customer service, hospitality skills, and social perceptiveness.
  • Strong communication and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
  • Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
  • Prior experience in a restaurant setting preferred.
  • Basic understanding of point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred.
