Overview

Join a confidential restaurant concept preparing to launch this winter in Aspen. This role focuses on delivering exceptional, high-volume beverage service with discretion, contributing to a premier experience during a fast-paced ski-season.

Key Responsibilities

Mix, shake, and serve a wide range of cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and consistency in a high-volume environment.

Handle fast-paced guest interactions with professionalism, maintaining a friendly, discreet, and polished appearance.

Maintain accurate up-to-date knowledge of the beverage program, ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles to make confident recommendations.

Prepare and calibrate garnishes, dressings, and drink presentations to reflect a premium standard.

Monitor stock levels, restock speed rails, and assist with inventory management; communicate needs to bar management.

Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with local regulations; recognize and manage potential over-service and guest safety concerns.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, glassware, tools, and equipment; adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards.

Collaborate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of beverages with meals.

Handle guest feedback with poise, resolving issues or escalating to management as appropriate.

Process orders and payments accurately using POS systems; manage transactions, verify closures, and maintain cash handling integrity.

Support opening and closing procedures, including setup, breakdown, and side work to ensure readiness for service.

Uphold confidentiality around guest information, brand strategies, and opening details.

Provide knowledge of local attractions and resort amenities to enhance guest experience when appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a bartender, preferably in high-volume, upscale, or resort settings; winter season experience in Aspen is a plus.

Exceptional hospitality instincts with a guest-focused approach and the ability to multitask under pressure.

Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and beverage pairings; ability to craft recommendations with confidence.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional, polished appearance aligned with luxury standards.

Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic up-selling techniques.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with rotating or extended shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations; commitment to maintaining a clean and safe bar environment.

Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to evolving concepts.

High school diploma or equivalent; bartending certifications (e.g., TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol) are a plus.

Working Conditions

Seasonal, role with potential extension based on performance and business needs.

High-volume bar environment with peak activity during ski-season hours.

Standing for extended periods; some lifting and moving of moderate loads (e.g., cases of beverages).

Compensation and Perks

$11.78 + TIPS
