Role Summary

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences at the bar by preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The role requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests while maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with company policies and service standards. Prepare and serve beverages accurately, verify guest age, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar area.
  • Service & Guest Interaction: The role involves creating memorable guest experiences through friendly engagement, product knowledge, and professional presentation. The Bartender should build rapport with guests, remember regular patrons’ preferences, and ensure prompt and courteous service. They also proactively promote new beverages, events, and specials.
  • Mixology & Beverage Knowledge: Demonstrate advanced mixology skills, including selecting, mixing, and garnishing drinks to perfection. Stay updated on industry trends, new ingredients, and cocktail techniques, and contribute to the development of creative beverage menus.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Handle glassware and bar tools safely and maintain a responsible service environment.
  • Teamwork & Professionalism: Support colleagues, mentor junior staff, participate in training sessions, and assist in menu development and operational improvements. Maintain grooming and uniform standards, demonstrate professionalism, and uphold the company’s image at all times.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Hospitality or Customer Service preferred.
  • Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale venue.
  • Strong mixology, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
