Bartender – Nine Iron Restaurant & Club Events

Lafayette Country Club is seeking an energetic, professional, and hospitality-focused Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service to members and guests while preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in our Nine Iron Restaurant, lounge areas, special events, and seasonal outdoor operations.

Our bartenders play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering the high level of service our members expect.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club standards.
  • Provide friendly, attentive service to members and guests at the bar and lounge areas.
  • Maintain knowledge of all food menus, wine selections, beer offerings, and spirits.
  • Make beverage and menu recommendations to members and guests.
  • Accurately enter orders and process payments through the point-of-sale system.
  • Set up and stock the bar before service and complete closing duties at the end of each shift.
  • Prepare garnishes, stock supplies, and maintain bar inventory levels throughout service.
  • Keep bar areas, glassware, equipment, and workstations clean and organized.
  • Assist servers by preparing beverage orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform wine bottle service for members and guests when requested.
  • Assist with banquet bars, special events, golf outings, weddings, and club functions.
  • Work closely with managers, servers, kitchen staff, and fellow team members to ensure exceptional member experiences.

Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift bar supplies, cases, and kegs as needed.
  • Must meet Indiana age requirements for serving alcohol.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
