Our guests get to join us for a drink and a bite to eat at H Bar. They have the option to choose from a variety of premium alcoholic beverages, all best when paired with delicious items from our menu. Try our popular burger, Chicken Caesar Salad, or Turkey Pesto Sandwich for a meal that will satisfy any craving.

Bartenders are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The right person should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. This position offers the opportunity for casual conversation, and creativity and allows for building on one's style and previous bartending experiences. Preferred candidates will have an understanding of state and local serving guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing prompt service and assisting with beverage orders.
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks according to the hotel’s standards.
• Check identification of guests to verify they are of legal drinking age.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for use.
• Upsell and promote drink specials, signature cocktails, and other items from the menu.
• Handle cash and process payments accurately using the hotel's point of sale (POS) system.
• Monitor guest behavior and consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service, intervening when necessary to prevent over-consumption.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service.
• Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the bar area, following all health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with local alcohol regulations and company policies.
• Perform opening and closing duties as required, including restocking and preparing for the next shift.
• Hours for the position will be primarily 3PM - 11PM. Days will vary

• Previous bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.

• Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, wine, and beer.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of alcohol.

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Bartender certification or training (e.g., TIPS, ServeSafe Alcohol).

• Ability to stand, walk, and serve drinks for long periods.

• Ability to lift and carry kegs, boxes of supplies, and other bar-related items.
