Bartender - part time (DAY SHIFTS)

Part Time bartender needed for weekday, day shifts at Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co. Social Room. Because we are a members only bar, a background check is required. We are in search of a bartender to join our team who has previous experience - if you have worked in a similar establishment, even better!

We are open 7 days a week, but currently only in need of a bartender for day shifts during the week. Would like to hire 1-2 new bartenders, depending on availabilty of the right candidates.

Some of the shifts we are looking for coverage:

• Monday and Tuesday we open at 11am and close at 7pm. The bartender would need to arrive at 10am to set up the bar and be ready to open on time.
• Wednesday and Thursday we open at 11am and the next bartender comes on at 5pm. The bartender would need to arrive at 10am to set up the bar and be ready to open on time.
• Possible Friday shifts with the same timing as Wednesday and Thursday.

Duties would include:

• Opening and setting up the bar for the shift.
• Light bar food, everything is set up behind the bar - warming soups/ chili for the lunch crowd. Refreshing any items in the bain (lettuce, tomatoes, celery, etc. (these items have backups in our walk-in). Making sandwiches, using the enclosed fryer (super easy to use!!) for fried favorites.
• Ticket payouts - we have "rip-tickets" that if customers win, will require a payout from a 2nd register.
• Clean up and restocking of your shift. Everyone is responsible for restocking items used during their shift, glass and dish clean up, wiping down the bar and tables.
• If working a Monday or Tuesday, closing at 7pm.

Candidates must be able to communicate with fellow co-workers and be friendly with customers. All bartenders are required to be RAMP certified, we can help if you do not currently have this! Hourly pay is $10 an hour, plus all tips for your shift.

Pay: $10.00 per hour
