Bartender (Restaurant Service Focus)

Bernadette is a chef-driven restaurant in downtown Salem led by Chef Aaron Chambers. Our bar program is built around thoughtful cocktails, a deep wine list, and the same level of hospitality and precision that defines the dining room.

We are seeking a bartender with strong restaurant service experience who thrives in a hospitality-forward environment. This role is ideal for someone who has worked in high-end restaurants, understands the rhythm of dinner service, and approaches bartending as an extension of the dining experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience bartending in upscale or chef-driven restaurants
  • Strong knowledge of classic and modern craft cocktails
  • Comfortable working in a high-touch hospitality environment
  • Ability to guide guests through cocktails, wine, and food pairings
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication with the service team
  • Calm, organized presence during busy dinner services
  • Passion for great ingredients, technique, and thoughtful hospitality

Responsibilities

  • Prepare classic and house cocktails with consistency and attention to detail
  • Engage guests at the bar and support the dining room with beverage service
  • Maintain a clean, organized bar and prep area
  • Participate in bar prep, batching, garnish prep
  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service

Ideal Background

  • 3+ years bartending experience in a restaurant setting
  • Familiarity with craft cocktail techniques and classic builds
  • Wine knowledge is a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
