Bartender/ Server

Responsibilities

  • Take orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring smooth transactions and cash handling.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
  • Serve food promptly and professionally, maintaining presentation standards for all dishes in fine dining or casual settings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations.
  • Manage multiple tables or bar stations effectively through strong time management skills to ensure timely service during busy hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, dining space, and service stations in compliance with food handling standards.
  • Assist with catering events, banquets, or nightclub functions as needed, demonstrating flexibility across various hospitality settings.
  • Handle cash register operations accurately, including cashiering duties like processing payments and giving correct change using retail math skills.

Experience

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred; fine dining or banquet experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude that creates a welcoming environment for all guests.
  • Experience working in nightlife venues like nightclubs or catering events demonstrates adaptability in high-energy settings.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously through excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic math proficiency for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing is essential.
