Bartender with Serving Duties

Red Hat on the River, a bustling 120 seat riverfront restaurant in Irvington NY, is seeking a dedicated, experienced Bartender to join our team. Red Hat is an upbeat and friendly environment where customer service reigns supreme.

The ideal candidate must enjoy working on both positions.

Bartender Responsibilities:

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers and take orders efficiently
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare specialty cocktails
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

SERVER at the bar and potential fill in shifts:

• Table service guest relations
• Taking food & beverage orders in a smart, efficient, and friendly manner
• Explain ingredients, preparation techniques and available substitutions.
• Communicating with and directing the bus team related to your station
• Report all guest issues to management
• Learn and follow all company policy and protocols
• Learn and adapt to Red Hat's guidelines and protocols

Skills

• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender/server
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Ability to work quick and efficiently
• Enthusiastic about teamwork
