Bartender/Barista Dual Role

Good Graces is Raleigh’s newest eatery, bar, and market located in the heart of the newly developed North Hills Innovation District. Casually sophisticated and thoughtfully designed, Good Graces will be a multi-functional destination for our community to eat, drink, gather, and shop.

We are seeking an individual who is positive, self-motivated, and has a passion for quality food, beverage, and service. This candidate must be able to foster teamwork and the ability to skillfully navigate a variety of personalities. We are looking to hire someone who holds themselves to a high standard of excellence and finds fulfillment and motivation in people management and the customer experience.

This unique role is designed to meet the needs of our current daytime guest experience. Bartending baristas are responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea and matcha. This role is tasked with providing friendly and attentive service, and ensuring a positive guest experience. This role requires a good knowledge of drink recipes, previous experience as a barista or using a commercial espresso machine, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a lively or relaxed environment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Drink Preparation:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Follow standard recipes and presentation procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Make syrups and cold foam in house.
  • Operate coffee brewing equipment and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Ensure daily prep list is completed before the start of service.

Customer Service:

  • Greet guests warmly and take drink orders accurately.
  • Engage with guests professionally and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer questions about drink menu items, including coffee and tea options.

Sales and Cash Handling:

  • Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
  • Maintain an accurate balance of cash and receipts.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels of beverages, mixers, and supplies.
  • Inform management when supplies are running low to ensure proper reordering.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Follow all legal and safety guidelines related to alcohol service.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to intoxicated guests or other issues.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of previous bartending experience required.
  • Previous experience in a coffee shop is required.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and beverage presentation.
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing methods and equipment is required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • A passion for coffee and providing exceptional customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
