Bartender/Roundsman (Food Prep Support)

Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Bartender/Roundsman (Food Prep Support) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and exceptional customer service skills, with experience in various food and beverage settings. This role involves preparing and serving drinks/food, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with a background in bartending and/or mixology, as well as back of house experience, will thrive in this position. The bartender/roundsman will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards of food safety and responsible alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently, responsibly, and accurately.
• Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
• Manage multiple drink orders efficiently while maintaining quality standards during busy hours.
• Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., assembling simple dishes, prepping ingredients)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, kitchen prep areas, and service stations.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties using Toast POS systems.
• Restock bar and kitchen supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
• Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-serving.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during events such as parties or catering functions.
• Uphold all food safety standards related to beverage preparation and serving.

Experience

• Previous experience in craft cocktail bartending and food prep is preferred.
• Familiarity with Toast POS systems is advantageous.
• Strong skills in time management, sales, customer service, basic math, and food handling are essential for success in this role.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices is required.

Pay: $13/hour training wage; $7.25/hour bartending wage + tips
