Position: Server & Bartender (Combo Role)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–9:00 PM
Pay: $10/hour + tips (average tips range $10–$20/hour)
Age Requirement: Must be 18+ with a valid Tennessee Alcohol Server Permit

Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and guest-focused Server/Bartender to join our evening crew at Fork of the South’s Southern Tea Room & Candy Martini Bar — where High Tea charm meets candy-inspired cocktails in a boutique, story-filled setting. Whether you're crafting a glittery candy martini or presenting a tiered tea tray, you’ll help create memorable experiences through excellent service and a little Southern sparkle.

This position is perfect for someone who loves hospitality and is ready to learn behind the bar. Prior bartending experience is preferred but not required — we’ll train the right person!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
• Provide elevated service to tea room and bar guests in a seated, boutique-style environment
• Engage with customers to offer menu guidance, drink suggestions, and memorable service
• Operate the POS system (Aloha or similar) to accurately process transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and serving areas
• Restock supplies, glassware, and bar tools as needed
• Monitor guest behavior and ensure responsible alcohol service per Tennessee guidelines
• Follow health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, inviting space
• Support light food service coordination during private events or “Tipsy Tea” evenings

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid Tennessee Alcohol Server Permit
• Previous serving or bartending experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong time management skills and ability to multitask during peak service hours
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and drink measurement
• Great communication and people skills — warm, friendly, and professional
• Familiarity with Aloha POS (or similar systems) is helpful
• Eager to learn cocktail recipes, mocktail trends, and Southern tea service etiquette
• Available Monday–Friday, 5–9 PM, with flexibility for occasional events
