Curtis and Antonia Garcia decided to use their family recipes to start a restaurant that would be successful based on food quality, customer service and cleanliness. Garcias Mexican Restaurant is looking for a Bartender to join our team in Schertz, TX.

Bartender Job Description:

The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent service to customers by maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar, maintaining a well-ordered and readable work station, and providing hospitality to guests.

We have great business hours:

Monday-Thursday 10;00 a.m. -- 8:00 p.m.

Friday & Saturday 8:00 a.m.-- 8:00 p.m.

Sunday 8:00 a.m.-- 3 p.m.

Essential Functions:

• GREET EVERY GUEST WITH A SMILE AND MAKE THEM FEEL WELCOMED.
• Preparing the bar for service by cleaning, stocking, and rotating all bar items, including glassware, silverware, beer bottles, wine glasses, and condiments
• Work as a team with other bartenders by taking drink & food orders from customers while working the bar and serving drinks from the bar.
• Follow drinks recipes and correct measurements.
• ensure all dine in and To-go order guests have a great experience
• ensure all orders are correct.
• Stock inventory as needed and place supplies in the bar for service
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, including the floor and tables, walls, and stock shelves.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or service manager.
• Assist in opening closing shifts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements:

• Must be friendly, engaging, polite, service oriented, have a great attitude and loves to make people smile.
• Previous experience as a Bartender or similar position preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff and guests.. Ability to work at stations that may require standing for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion. Must be able to work under pressure conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good cash handling skills
