POSITION: Full Time Bartender
REPORTS TO: Bar Supervisor
OBJECTIVE: To provide quality service to hotel restaurant guests by providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meets and exceeds guest and team member expectations by providing exceptional service and teamwork.
- Provides value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Communicates effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed.
- Handles difficult situations effectively.
- Meets Embassy Suites service standards.
- Performs other duties as required to meet Embassy Suites mission to “Enable people to make life on the road better”.
- Provides prompt, courteous service by bussing, serving, and setting tables.
- Accurately records, pre-checks, and picks-up all food and beverage orders.
- Sets tables as needed prior to guest arrival.
- Contributes to guest satisfaction by attending to restaurant customer needs.
- Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to respond to guest questions in these areas as required.
- Attend and participate in daily Basic of the Day training.
- Informs manager of any guest dissatisfaction.
- Adheres to hotel policies and procedures.
- Attends work on time as scheduled.
- Follows hotel grooming and dress standards
- Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- At all times projects a favorable image of competence and professionalism of Embassy Suites to guests, co-workers, vendor and management staff.
As a Bartender, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Comply with all federal, state, and corporate liquor regulations
- Respond to guests in a timely, friendly, efficient, and proficient manner
- Educate guests on menu options and restaurant promotions
- Input orders into the Point-of-Sale database (POS)
- Ensure a high level of product knowledge
- Set-Up the restaurant and bar to mirror our brand image and exceed guest expectations
- Clear, clean, and sanitize complimentary area (tables, counters, floors, etc.)
- Restock bar items (plates, silverware, glasses, ice, etc.)
- Mop, dust, and perform daily and project maintenance of the restaurant area
