We are looking for Bartender/Server candidates at Mia Francesca’s Lincolnwood . Our dynamic, fast-paced work environment is ideal for high-energy, service minded professionals. This role involves providing exceptional customer service in a lively environment, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using Toast
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality according to recipes
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, dining space, and service stations throughout shifts
- Assist in setting up banquet events or catering functions as needed
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve multiple tables or bar patrons simultaneously
- Manually wash and sanitize glassware
- Ensure that the overall guest experience exceeds expectations, including greeting guests with a warm, sincere smile and anticipating their needs
- Stock and restock appropriate areas of the bar with liquor, beer, wine, glassware, ice and misc. bar supplies
- Account for and maintain the security of all bar stock and inventory
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, fine dining, nightclub, banquet, or catering environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills or tips accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, days, weekends, holidays;
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and knowledge of beverage offerings is advantageous
- Lift and move up to 30 pounds
- BASSET certified and valid Food Handlers certificate
